Difference between I/S forks and Standard forks?

Does anyone know if I can use Standard forks on an I/S? Is there any difference in the two forks?

Different P/N's between the 2 models. My guess would be the springs.
You should be ok to use the Standard tubes if you need to.
May be a little softer tho. You could add an ounce of fluid to each tube to improve the compression feel. That would decrease the amount of air in the tubes for compression.
Or install Progressive springs, which some then decrease the fluid by an oz. or 2. I/S brackets and such will change out.
Many have added heavy fairings to Standards and I don't recall any suspension issues.

Remember: air compresses - fluid does not.

It shouldn't be a problem.
Note: I went the other way (I/S forks installed on Tourer) but already had Progressive springs. I have not noticed any differences in handling, etc.
