I love the nickel trick, and it always blows peoples minds when you show them.  I do it whenever possible on my 97 Tourer.  Just asking the new 2014 Valkyrie owners to go out to your bike and try it.  I'm sure it will work if there is space for the coin on the valve cover, but is the plastic in the way?

On YouTube I saw a video of the nickel trick on a Goldwing so it should work on a new Valkyrie.

It is more fun to do it with a dime and then put some R's on the tach.

I tried it when my 2014 Goldwing Valkyrie was new.
Regrettably, I did this in front of several friends who were already giving me grief for buying it (jealous.)
The nickel fell down and then slid into the engine area through a gap.
It was hilarious, and they all had a great time laughing.
Even though I was slightly embarrassed and a little worried (at the time) about to where the nickel actually slid, I can still see the humor in it.

I was told by another Valkyrie owner that I should have waited until after break-in to attempt the nickel trick.

I guess I'll try again... someday.  haha 2funny
