Livin' the Valk, er, F6B life in Central Florida.

Silver Springs, Florida

« on: June 16, 2014, 03:37:05 PM »

Pulled the trigger today on step one of our bike updating.
The '99 is gone. Got a really good deal, it is a new 2013 standard.
The Dark Knight rises!

Haven't been able to put many miles on it as the skies are rumbling hard. But what little bit I did ride was sweet! SUPER SMOOTH & much more refined than my Valks. Gadgets, radio, good Lord! Taller windshield will be an absolute must!
More to come.....

I look forward to seeing it in person.  Guess you parked it outside with the valks being in the garage.   uglystupid2

Hoping to hear how Kim likes the F6b compared to the CTX.

Very nice, I've also been giving it some thought. But figure at my age why bother, this one should last me for as long as I'll be riding and beyond.

Nice looking ride, I am the same boat as John, too late in life to think about a new one as much as I want one.

My next ride will either have 3 wheels, 2 in front or 2 in back, not sure, or 4 wheels and a convertible top. Arthritis in my hips, back and knees will sideline my 2 wheel riding sooner than later. Such is life.  Sad

I like the lines on your F6B better then the new Valk, these  bags really look nice and functional.

Like some of the others I think the F6B looks better than the new Valk.
Are you saying the buffeting is bad with the short windshield?

Yes, the buffeting is horrible with the stocker. Even though I'm not quite 6' tall, I sit high in the saddle like someone over 6' tall. Short legs/long torso syndrome.  uglystupid2
I already have a Klock Werks dark tinted w/s on the way.
The w/s, a center stand, luggage rack & backrests are in the near future. I'll give the stock seat a fair shake but I have a suspicion that I will be on an Ultimate before the mods are done! Cool

Eddie.
Look up "Sweetlips" on the board or under my 2270 mile posting and give her a PM concerning your pending sales if you want. Kathie is her name and Mike is her husband. They are out of Mississippi, good people, and looking for another Valk.
Depending on price and timing, Lesa may be interested in your red/white. No hurry on that one. Will need some short shocks!
