I am going to mount some lights this weekend. Thought I'd run this by it see if it's ok or get better ideas. I was planing on running a hot wire from the battery thru a fuse to a relay then from the relay to the lights. Then run a wire from the acc. wire I heard is found behind the right side cover to the relay to power it up when the key is on. I also have heard about hooking up to a wire that is in the headlight shell that will not let the light come on when cranking But don't know what I'm looking for. I was going to run the ground thru a toggle switch so I could turn them off if wanted.  Does this sound correct? Is there a better way?  Thanks    Scooby

Here is a schematic that you can use or download the manual from Dag's site:

Here are some suggestions from the rattlebars site on wiring strategies:

Your idea is excellent except: Put the switch in the acc wire that powers the relay. That way, you can use a very small switch and you're only switching a small current.
