I know we've had numerous debates on here about Prayer Requests ........ but at this point we need all the help we can get. Two fold ...... my son's best friend's father died last night from cancer. It has been a very long rough battle and for him the journey is finally over ... for his family the pain and lose is devastating. My oldest brother has been diagnosed with cancer. Not that I have alot of sympathy for him ... his way of life ... his lack of respect for life ... I do however love and care deeply for my Mother. She needs our prayers for the strength to endure through what is now before our family watching my brother suffer with and fight his cancer. So when you are sitting quiet later this evening ... if you could please say a prayer for the Knight family and ours ... I would appreciate it. God Bless

Of course you have my prayers. But, a word of advice, as well... Make peace with your brother while you still can. Grief with regrets is much more difficult than grief without them.

Des, we leave in the morning to visit family in Tampa, FL. One member in particular is my wife's cousin, he just had surgery this morning, cancer. We will lift up your brother, your mom, the Knight family and especially you and Kendall in just a little while. God bless. Hope to get to share the wind some day soon.

As long as he's breathing there is still time, don't give up on him. It's always hard for the parent of a child to have to watch the suffering so a special prayer for her and everyone affected by the illness.

Thank you all for the prayers and strength you've sent our way. The Knight Family is making the final arrangements for their father --- and I will take to heart what you've said about making peace with my brother. It is hard when you are so bitter and it's been a life long conflict. For my Mother's sake I know I should ... but when you've witnessed the pain & suffering he's inflicted on so many for so long it's hard to be sympathetic because now his quest for death has a title "cancer". Nonetheless I appreciate my VRCC family and we do need your prayers. God Bless

Prayers from Texas
Romans 8:26-28
26 In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; 27 and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. 28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
New American Standard Bible : 1995 update. 1995 (Ro 8:26-28). LaHabra, CA: The Lockman Foundation.
