I hope my posts of the last few weeks have not caused too much distress for everyone. I somewhat enjoy a political post especially when we can keep it light hearted and fun. Most of my attempts to point this out has been pretty futile. So in the interest of harmony I am deleting all the threads I started as they keep coming back up and causing discord. I will neither start nor contribute to a political post because I have proven to myself in the last week or so that it is totally unproductive.

Not totally unproductive. I see this board as a cross section of America and some of the ideas and ideologies expressed here are what makes America what it is. Also, let's me know who I can count of when it's time.

I am sorry to hear that I always like reading others opinions about the issues, as long as its genuine and not stirring the pot. If you cant let things go and it taints your thoughts about things then I understand but other wise its a board not a face to face encounter and with that thought things might be a bit different. We dont really get the full scope of what a person is about that you do face to face and so most of the things that are said get a different slant and intensity that may not happen in person. I really haven't been to any of the meetings sorry to say, the mind is willing but the business and time aren't. If I met anyone on this board face to face I'm sure that what was posted would be a passing thought in light of who is the real person.

I will be thinking the same way just not adding my 2 cents to posts that have no where to go. I am glad you enjoyed my posts but if it's at the expense of the enjoyment of others on the board I can forgo jumping in. I have posted more in the last two weeks than I have in the last 2 years in an effort to shine the light on the problem of rude behavior in posts but I believe they just contributed to more rude behavior. And in the famous words of Capt McCall on Lonesome Dove, " I just can't tolerate rude behavior ". |

JMHO "Class" to anything I do.....I'm just me.....I am just a fun-loving guy who likes to ride, poke fun at myself, not take anything too seriously, but have a serious side though when appropriate...but I'm also goofy most of the time, more than a little irreverent at others.....and generally just like to have fun, eat good food, and flirt with the Ladies when they'll let me.....I know I don't meet a few, maybe a lot, of other ppl's approval or standards, but dog gone it, that's OK and what makes this the best place in the world to live!!.... Smokin Joe, Detn8er, Britman, Duffy, Thumper, Sweet Tea, Punisher, Mike Marshall, Scooter, Brian Nicely, Rhonda, Noah and many others I've met are all TOP NOTCH folks....everyone of them are a little different and add a variety of views, opinions, and riding styles....but they all share the love of riding and friendship with a lot of us here on the VRCC.....I'm proud and honored to have met them and count them as friends..... ......in fact, about 99% of everyone I've met through the VRCC are good people!!.....You guys ride safe out there.... |

The Political crap and a couple of other things is why I don't post much any more.....It is a total waste of the posters time and the responders time and also not good use of a key board. Sometimes or maybe all the time it's best to keep your thoughts on religion and politics just where they are. In fact you could spend the rest of your life typing your thoughts on either subject and you wouldn't change my mind on either. And for those of you that think a little discussion of the subjects are fine, It may be....However it's still all boils down to a big pile of bull crap. I am the proud owner of a few Television sets and one or two radios and get my news from a variety of sources as well as my religion. Why would anybody want or need to come to the VRCC board for either??? if memory serves me right I recall you made your fair share of Bush Bashes.. now that your saviour is in its all B.S.??? |
