Just put my first set of Cobra's on my fat girl. What pressure do you people who run them use?

I have them on a '99 Tourer which is wearing an I/S trunk and tank, Memphis Fats fairing and assorted safety chrome/electronics/communications gear. Figure roughly the same weight as an I/S.

40 front; 42 back.

Any more than that in the front and it wants to weave. Less and the steering feels somewhat mushy.

The rear gets adjusted up slightly if I'm riding with a passenger but the ride is rough at higher pressures without one.

As always, YMMV. Mine's right at 41mpg.  cooldude

I had problems with cupping,so called factory and believe it or not a man from Avon called me and according to their studies on the problem he suggested I run 46 pounds  rear and 40 front to avoid cupping on the Valk.I adjusted the pressure and it didnt affect the ride and I believe it improved the handling,But that may be just me .The guys Name was Jerry and very in the know guy.I have phone numbers around somewhere if anyone wants send a pm and will get to you..I run Avon Cobras.

Refer to a thread topic "Recommended Avon Cobra Tire Pressure" started May 8, 2014.
Search is your friend.  Cold: 41 front, 44 rear.
