Getting ready to change my slow jets and I have one float bowl gasket leaking. Since I am opening up all the carbs I am changing all the 13 year old  float bowl gaskets. I searched it and attic rat said it was a test to See if the gaskets are bad. So if I'm changing them all anyway is this a step I can skip?  Also the gasket set I got from red eye came with a paper which said if you wanted to glue them on like honda to get a 3m adhesive. Is this necessary or will a little grease be sufficient to hold them in the groove when I set the bowl back on?

Scott I always glue them in so they don't move just like the factory does. I also always vacuum test them when I am thru to make sure that they don't leak. I just follow what the book says and it has always worked out for me.
