I got a little ahead of myself putting on my fluted carb covers and the torsion coil spring popped off.can some one explain how it goes back on.i actually know where it goes I just cant figure out how to place the spring to get it right. does the little hook on the spring go up and in the little notch on the choke linkage? and I assume the long straight end of the spring just faces down?

its number 5 on your first link.it popped out while I was removing the choke linkage and I couldn't figure out how to reinstall it. I went back out today and used a magnifying glass on the other side to see it and figure it out.i was able to finally see it and replace the other side properly.thank you for the links I saved them. cooldude

Glad you got it figured out. If you look up towards the top of the page and click on Shoptalk you will find plenty of reading on our Valks.
