Finished up my powerpoint (Valk) show with music synced to pix.  Burned it on a CD.  Music plays from the CD, all is well.  When I save it to the 'puter and play it, the pix advance as planned, but no flipp'n audio.  Where's the music???  I don't get it.  CD version works fine.  C: drive version advances, but like a silent movie.  What's up with that??   Undecided   sheets

Powerpoint has pointers to the music files. So when creating a power point it is best to place the music files and pics all in the same folder and point to them. Also you can save it as a powerpoint show. Then the audio is imbeded on it. However that file can not be edited. I think I am correct about this. If not I am sure someone elce will chime in shortly....

. . . but that doesn't mean anything, cuz I know just enough to be dangerous.  Where I created the show, at my "other" location, I have the pix in one folder and music in another.  I created the PPS by selecting pix from one folder and selecting music from the other folder.  In PPS I timed the frames to sync the music.  It works fine at "that" location.  I copied to a CD and brought it home.  The CD version at "this" PC works fine.  The version saved and or copied to the C: drive at "this" PC runs like a silent movie.  Select the drive with the CD and it works fine.  Select the file saved to the C: drive and its a silent movie.  This stuff drives me nuts!!  I don't know how you IT guys do it.  Give me a steering wheel and 13 speeds, or a machine with 14 levers, and I can make it tap dance.  Give me the stink'n 'puter thingie and I'm fine with throwing it out the window.  Thanks for the advice . . . sheets

I don't know what format of video/audio you put onto your CD but more than likely you're missing the "audio codec" needed to play back the audio on the PC that is silent. What type of audio/video files are on the CD?

Just copy all the files from the original pc and put them in a folder. Then add that folder to the cd with the Power point show. All should be good.
gota love Bill Gates,,,, I know

Sorry reread your post. and what you need to do is copy all the contents from the CD to a folder on your PC then run it from there. That should do it.
 Hope I helped

That worked!!!!!  I don't know what difference that makes, and don't even try to esplayne it to me.  I've got my PPS on the hard drive and I'm happy.  Twenty-four Valk travel pix to to the tune of Roll Me Away . . . .  My first attempt at PPS.  I'm impressed, if I do say so myself.   cooldude  Cool

I have a dial-up connection so this type of stuff takes forever to pump through the pipeline.
Do you post it like a picture?  It's 27 slides w/music = 10.3 MB (whatever that is).
Thanks for the assist.  sheets
