Here Are A Few Pictures Of What My Broken Leg Looks Like After Five Weeks. On Saturday I Took The Cast Off Myself To Unveil That I Had About Twenty Staples And About Fourteen Stitches In My Leg That Needed To Be Removed Three Weeks Ago. I Went To The E.R.,Got It X-rayed ,And Checked Out . I T Is Healing On The Inside And I Do Not Have Any Infection . I Go To See A Dr. Tomorrow, Hopefully They Can Help With My Recovery.

Ride Safe,
Bert

Looking better, the rehab is going to be fun. I'd suggest no dancing for a couple more weeks at least.  Wink

Undecided i guess they took them out for ya. why have they dragged their feet (pun) on this issue ? coolsmiley bama care is that bad, isn't it.  well at least it looks to be healing well and quick, try some tip toeing thru the tulips soon.  Cheesy

Bert,

Glad you are healing up. But probably not as glad as Sherrie. You are going to owe her BIG TIME! Cheesy

Warning, those staples will hurt a lot more taking them out than they did going in.  Same for the stitches, went through that a few months ago. I know you are off the pain meds, my Doc told me to take a few before I came in to get the stuff out, glad I did.  Glad you are healing, will be time to start therapy soon, don't skimp on it, with me hurt like sin, but it really helped get use of my fingers and wrist back.  With any luck you will be getting around ok in a couple months.

The Staples Were under the Skin But I Only Felt Them Remove A Couple Of Them Due To My Leg Being Numb . The Cast Was Supposed To Come Off No Later Than Sixteen Days., This Is What It Looked Like On The Thirty-First Day. I Cut What Was Left Of The White Fuzzy Stuff That Was Wrapped Around My Leg And Cast. I Bent The Cast Backward ,Cracking It In The Instep Area. I Slid It Off Like A Sandal. I Cleaned It And Removed The Fuzzy Stuff From My Sole Area.I Re-Wrapped It And Went To The E.R. To Get It Checked For Infection And X-Rayed To See If It Is Healing .I Have No Infection And The E.R. Dr. Said It Looked Like It Was Healing Better On The Inside Than It Was On The Outside.I Went To The Emergency Room Due To Not Being Able To Get An Appointment With The Right Doctor. I Hope To See The Right One Tomorrow. Hell, Any Doctor Is A Good One At This Point .
PS,
There Won't Be Any Skipping Or Jumping Going On Any Time Soon.

Glad you cut the damn cast off before the staples started to rust.
Keep up with the healing.
Work hard with the therapy.  Remember what the bone docs say motion is lotion.

Bert

Caroline took a look at the side view and had to turn away.  As long as there is no infection you are on your way.   BTW its too hot and humid in Florida now anyway.  You;ll be riding next winter!
