Though life gets in the way while your making other plans, we're in. Good gator tail and a good ride over too.

Been there many times. Good place to gather and good food. I'm in right now, hope the work schedule and weather will allow me to stay in.

It's an easy 125 mile ride straight down US 27 to Avon Park for me.
Anybody want to join me heading south to Chumley-land? If so, where might be a good place to gather?  Haines City maybe? The Citrus Tower maybe? Clermont?

I was thinking, no need to get there real early,  how does 11:30 sound to kick the tires and swap lies. Then eat a little after 12. I am going to take back roads all the way there. If any one is interested on riding the same route, meet up at the Racetrack  station on the corner of MLK and 579 in Seffner fl at 8:30 am.

Originally posted Chevron as the meeting spot, but they have closed up.

Eddie

I can meet you at the Burger King on 27 and I-4.
It is on the north bound side of 27, just before you hit I-4.

Maybe Larue can meet us there also.

Say around 10:15  ???

17 is nice but sometimes it gets a little too slow because it is a two lane road and you do get some cages that drive really, really slow in areas were you cannot pass.

I do take that road sometimes and if I want to go a little faster, I just cut over to 27

Was looking forward to doing this little toodle, but after looking at weather past and forward, so if I don't show up tomorrow, the kayaks would make more sense. Don't mind riding wet, but monsoon gully-washers isn't my favorite place to start, either. Time will tell, eh? Everybody ride safe.

Just got home. Bob and I caught a little rain north of LaBelle. Sure glad I put the rain suit on when we stopped for gas. Had to peel it off south of Immokalee, was starting to feel like a steamed lobster. Grin
Great to see everyone today. It was fun.
That was a good call on an eatery Grumpy. The gator was great.

It was great to see everyone today.
I counted 15 bikes total.
A little warm on the way in, not too bad.

I got to the Burger King early and Eddie was already there, he made good time and was the first one there.
There was also 3 bikes there, 2 Harleys and 1 Victory, they were going for a ride with no destination picked.
One of the guys I had ridden with before and they asked if they could join us and of course we said YES.
So we had a small group of 7 bikes heading down 27 towards Avon.

Got to the Turkey Tavern and everyone else was there so we chatted for a little bit and went in for some chow.
Just like last weekend, it rained while we were inside, light drizzle by the time we walked out.
It made it for a nice cool ride with light drizzle on the way home  cooldude

Some of the guys exchanging lies as Grumpy says  Grin

As you can see, great job parking  Evil Grin

Jeff and the 3 guys that joined us along the way, they had really good things to say about our group and felt right at home with everyone

No scenic pictures this time.
I think Bronxboy took a pic with everyone at the table, maybe he will post it later.

Sorry I missed y'all. I have been pretty busy so hadn't been on the forum for a few weeks so I missed this.  That's not a bad distance and would have like to join ya'll. Of course today I would have had to attach the pontoons to the bike on the way back... Geeze, I've tired of this freaking rain.

Maybe next time... I'll bring my 18 year old son with me. He just got his first bike. It's great because we're having an awesome time riding together but I can't get rid of that little kernel of anxiety and worry in the back of my mind...  But I don't believe in NOT living life to the fullest just because we're afraid something bad might happen.  The good news is that he's a lot smarter than his dad and he wears ATGATT.

Hi Guys!
Arrived home around 8PM.
After lunch I drove over to my buddy's house a few miles away from the Turkey.
Parked under an overhang at his shop and shot the breeze for quite a while. He had just gotten home from another trip to his place in the keys.
Had a good time as usual ! The gals were asking about Billy Boy as usual.

Has he got the Mojo or what!!!

Great ride report guys. Glad y'all had a good time. Nice pictures too. That's a lot of nice looking "slow" black Valk's. Not a Green and Teal in the mix today I see!! Loved the A/C Cobra replica picture. Friend of mine has one of those with a Roush 427 in it. It will break your neck when he gets on it. Thanks again for sharing your day with those of us who had to work or won't ride in this heat or both (Me).  cooldude
