Made it home a hour ago. 10 days and 2698 miles of great times. We're broke and battered but ready to do it again! It was a good time seeing Dana and have him introduce us to one-eyed jacks. Still have the bruises to prove it! Pics and report at a later time.

I'm surprized we passed each other in the road. Sorry we did not get a chance to hook up. Three of the guys who went on the trip had never but on a long trip. They loved the whole thing and riding in the Black Hills. Would stay in Hill City again, nice little town. May take Lizzie out there some day.
How was the crowd this year? Bigger or smaller? Not sure I could handle the actual bike week. I deal with large crowds enough.
Glad you made it home safe.

I would say the crowds were about average. My guess is 450,000, up from last year. There was alot more bikes in the Hills then previos years imho. At No-panty-Wed in Huelet I bet there was over 30,000 bikes. When we went thru the bikes stretched out 2 miles outta town. We passed a solid line of bikes headed to Huelet for 40 miles into Bel Fouche. Glad we left when we did on Thurs. Alot of storms went thru.

They call it Ham & Jam now. Its been getting tamer ever year. It use to be the rowdy part of the rally since Sturgis went soft. It was kinda neat last year tho!

Brian it was great to meet up with you and Kit in Sturgis.I had a blast.I don't think that barmaid would of given you the butt whippin unless you needed it! I left out of Belle Fourche yesterday morning at 8:30 and 797.5 miles later rolled into my garage at 12:30 am this morning.

Glad you guys all made it home safe. I got in right at 3100 miles in 7 days, leaving early Thursday morning and driving through 3 hours of rain before I broke out of it. Sorry I didn't get to meet any of you, but if any of you registered for the Harley Crossbones that the Dakota Baptist Association was giving away (tent right across from the Motorcycle Museum on Main Street), then maybe we did meet! Dave

Dave I went by there twice and they tried to get me to register. Didn't want a HD tho. If I known you were there I woulda stopped.

Yes we did get hit by that hailstorm on Friday afternoon.I went out to get on the bike to head back to Belle Fourche and looked up and the sky was green.Went back into one eyed to wait it out.Big hail and lotsa wind for about 30 minutes. We were all inside at our favorite table when it hit.It was blowing hail and rain all the way to the south wall on the outside part.My bike was parked facing into the storm and so far I havn't found any damage. I'm kinda jonesing for a roast beef sandwich myself.

Welcome back. Look forward to the link of your adventures. I'm surprised to hear Huelet is starting to tone it down so quickly. Hoping to go again in 2010 so it should be intersting to see how much Huelet changed in 5 years.

We went there last year and spent a few hours. Alot of t-shirt venders and a few 'well dressed' women walking around. Not sure about how the night life is. We'll be there i 10 also. See ya then!
