Stock Exhaust Crossover Pipe
«
on:

I would like to add a crossover pipe to my stock exhaust. I was thinking of cutting the exhaust at the front where the 3 header pipes come in and remove the section where the separators are, remove them and then weld the empty pipe back on. The 3 header pipes would be flush at the front creating a chamber enough to allow the crossover and still clear the tire. Has anyone used a crossover? Diameter? Results?

MarkT, at Horseapple.com, who makes custom exhausts for the Valkyrie: About half way down the page, look for "Crossfire" It looks like his crossover is welded to the stock can.

Added mine just behind the 3 pipes coming together.
Picture not too good, but you get the idea.
Been on there for awhile, haven't dynoed it, but it did drop the et on the drag strip.
This is the Viking exhaust I modified, any good muffler builder can make or change your system.
