Living the dream in Sharonville, OH - with Sharon!

« on: August 07, 2014, 09:56:52 AM »

He was turning and got t-boned on his Sportster..

They took his leg at mid-calf. Big gash in his tongue, some broken teeth, road rash, and a brain hemorrhage.... They think the hemorrhage will take care of itself..

Prayers would be greatly appreciated....

Be careful out there....

I Got-R-Done, and they is a comin from Iowa, with all I warm feelings I can muster up.

It looks like he is going to be super sore for a few days.

I suppose the one who caused it walked off without a hitch.

Don't mean to hijack this post.

I had a kid take out my mailbox the 1st of the week.

It happened at 2:00 AM and there was all kinds of yelling, cussing and carrying on.   I slept through all of the commotion so I must have been TIRED.

The investigating officer could not determine who was driving, so they walked.    The guy and the gal both were stoned out of their gills.

The gal went through the right windshield and got cut up pretty bad.   I heard she has 50 stitches in her face.

Her daddy had me served with papers today for having too solid of a mailbox post.

He wants $$$$ from my home owners insurance for her hospital and Dr's fees at the hospital ER.

I had too many boxes took out in California and when we 1st moved here.

The boxes, mine and neighbors, set on one post.

Post was buried 5' in the ground and had a plate large enough to set 2 boxes on top.

They had to use a wrecker to set the post and then is was buried in cement.  The hole was an 18" one.    My neighbor had it buried and bought the railroad track about 1968.   I moved in in late 1975.   It has been nailed a few times, but no damage to the post.

Oh, the post was a big piece of railroad TRACK, with a wood box built around it to make it look like a wooden post.

I gave the papers served on me to my Lawyer, and he said he would contact their attorney and tell them to file charges and get a Court date.

My Attorney says there is nothing in the books that says you can't use a piece of railroad track for the post.

The post tore the front end of the car clear off at the firewall.    They hauled 3 pieces away on a flat bed wrecker.    Body, motor and front bumper.

So I figure it will get interesting before it is over.

The car was impounded, but the impound lot is not accessible to the public.   It is in behind a Body Shop/Towing Service.    You can only get back there with an Officer or the Lot Owner.

I suppose the one who caused it walked off without a hitch.

....And you would be correct R J... Walked away without a scratch....

He lives in DFW and commutes from Garland to downtown almost daily.... This happened on a side-street a block from his house....

Thanks for the kind thoughts...

I hate to hear this kind of thing. So sorry for the loss of his leg. He has a long road to recovery. It is a life-changer for certain. We all worry about this sort of thing. Sometimes it just happens. Hope your boy recovers. God speed to him.
God bless you and your family.

Ouch!!!!

What everyone else said and multiplied by 10.

The medical practitioners will hopefully glue him back together, strap a prosthesis on that lower leg a get him back on a scooter again. All the best to you and your son and hope to see you again when back in the Metromess.
