I was doing my pretrip fluid changes and maintenance. I pulled the stopper out of the vent tube and enough water came out to fill a small cup. it was clear and not oily at all. im just wondering where it came from. maybe its the accumulation of the humidity we've had since my last oil change. any insight or ideas from you guys will be appreciated.
me and the wife are going to Yellowstone on labor day. 12 days

Condensation. No worries. Drain regularly. Don't lose the plug. It keeps dust from being sucked into the intake.

Every now and again How much you get depends on the temperature, humidity, and other riding conditions.

Bring rain gear and dress warm. Was there 2 weeks ago. Rain & cold both days. Dont know your route but we enjoyed the mountains outside of yellowstone/tetans more then the park itself. Esp on 26 at Dubois WY and Cody WY.

Actually, I would be surprised if it didn't have some water in it!

Actually, I would be surprised if it didn't have some water in it! In 12 years of ownership, I've never drained so much as a drop out of mine. Not sure if that's significant or not.

What a great ride. I used to live in the Black Hills and frequently miss them, especially with the drought and wildfires around here.
