Any experience with a worn out race in the steering head?   I'm having a little front wheel wiggle at 35-40 mph and  my tire was recently balanced  (a new Avon Venom)
Thanks

I have read, posted on this board, that steering head bearings can go bad. yours could be bad, or too loose, or it could be the tire. I have a new cobra that does the same thing, and I know that the steering head bearings are loose. The last tire I had on did the same thing.(Dunlop E3) At 40MPH or so it goes away and rolls smooth. There is a procedure for adjusting the steering head. That stuff is available in the service manual and on this site in the tech board. just do a search and read up to your hearts content

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

Easiest is to take the front wheel off and wiggle/move the bars. The less weight on the front end is better. I did mine last summer cause I thought it was bad. This spring I had the wheel off and noticed the bars are loose. Rechecked the torque and all is good. Just be sure to recheck the torque and a few hundred miles.

Ebony Red and I both had tire wobble going on,  YEP fixed the problem with Dyna Beads.  cooldude
