bike runs great, but even after riding for a while and its all warmed up, when i stop, the exhaust smells rich / heavy.  normal?  what adj should be checked / made

First thing to do is keep a good record of the gas mileage to ascertain whether or

not you have a serious problem.

Upon that determination you can then decide to look and see what you are running

for slow (idle) jets. At the same time you can identify what main jets you have

along with needles and any possible shimming.

You should not have to look at each carburetor individually but I would recommend

to look at one carburetor on each side to determine what you are running.

I don't think they should smell too rich when out in the open, but, these monsters do run rich. Just let one idle in an enclosed area for a few minutes....
