Y'all are among the friendliest,  most helpful people on forums I have found.  Most are at each others throats and insist on one way or get flamed.

Thank you.

I found the thread on replacement radiator caps.  I purchased the Accord cap for the toyo radiator.  We shall see if that was the correct one.  At least it seems to fit.

The oem cap has a set screw.  Do I need to drill and tap one I  the new cap or is the oem one just legal overkill???

I rode for more than 6 years without one in my stock cap and never had a problem.  cooldude

No, it's more of a safety feature IMO.  police

Awesome!  Thank you!

I figured it was probably inspired by an attorne.

I look at it another way...keeps mischievous hands from easily removing the cap and leaving you stranded.  It seems there are a lot of malicious people out there.

I threw that set screw away in 2002 ... and have not missed it since.  Cool

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

I keep the oem in my saddle bag for 'just in case.'  crazy2
