I picked up some LED under tank lights for the Valk. I bought dark red to illuminate the engine. My question is can u run down the road with them illuminated or is that a no no? Wasn't sure that's really why I went red, just like going down the road with our running lights on?

I believe blue and red are a big NO.
I guess you could get away with reds for some time but it will catch up sooner or later and it will hurt you in the wallet.

I figured blue was a no, but we do run down the road with red running lights? I probably wont run with them on, just curios.

I went with the super brights, there (2) 12 inch strips. I am going to pull the tank and mount them under on each side. Should be enough to illuminate the engine.

Not much need to pull the tank. I would recommend you mount the LED lights at least an inch or two on the underside of the front of the tank. They will reflect the light onto your triple tree and any chrome on the front. The frame will keep you from going to far under the tank with the LED lights. I would also clean the tanks where the lights are mounting really good if you are using double side sticky tape. Almost forgot the point of this thread......lol I have LED light all over my bike and I have never been pulled over for them. I am in Oklahoma.

I have the Road Glide fairing frame mounted, so it will be a little tricky tying to get them up under the front.

Greetings Bronxboy! I run with the Red LED and have not been pulled. I've ridden in MS, AL, TN, NC, GA and of course FL. I got them in June at Thunder Beach and have had no issues yet w/ the law. They are seen on the motor compartment and the ground. I rode them this past Labor Day weekend at the UF postponed game. Rode the forgetting H'way 98 most of the way home, Milton,FL. I like the Red as well looks Hot! yikes it is! (Wish I could post a pic of it in the dark)

I had blue lights and got pulled over. It was a foggy night and the cop didn't buy the idea that it was so I could be seen better. I had to take them off.
