Jerry & Sherry Sheffer

Sarasota FL

« on: August 30, 2014, 01:50:57 PM »

We found a really clean Shadow Tourer 1100 for Sherry today. Bike has 28k and is black with cream . Looks like a mini Valk with having tourer hard bags and tourer type winshild.  She has had bikes in the past but not a cruiser.  We will both take the class in October, and then get her on the road.   don't know how to post pics on here mayB Pennie will for us.  I drove it back to the cottage and really liked it.. It has new Vance and Hines dual exhaust, hope it is not to loud.

CONGRATS to Sherry on her new acquisition.

MSF class is a really good choice.

Would you be keeping your bike the way it is or would you be making it into a solo?

You can email me the pics and I would be glad to post them for you.

Wow!

Way to go Sherry! That is just your speed!

................Couldn't resist as usual !
Congrats on your new ride. Can't wait to see the pictures.
Enjoy the class you guys, it's a fun class and a great learning experience.
You will both use what you learn every single time you climb on a bike. I promise!

Congratulations Sherry cooldude
Good choice, fun, manageable, reliable. Another good choice taking the course. Black and Cream is awesome, love it. That's the original colors I had in mind for mine. Wish I'd have stuck with that thought.
No more making faces at us from the passenger seat, eyes on the road. Grin

Good for you Sherri. It will be nice to have your own wheels I'm sure. Now you can see where you are going instead of looking around big ol' Jerry! cooldude

Sorry for the delay, guys! Know you're all dying to see the new ride. Here's a couple more photos. Who do you think is smiling more? Sherry because of her new ride, or Jerry because he'll now be able to turn his bike into a super hero?

I'm thinking I need to find out if Vance and Hines makes some baffles.  Thanks Gillster and Pennieeeee for posting pics. One day I will set up photo bucket.  As for solo I think we will leave the Shadow alone but starting to amass items for the super Valk Project.

that is the best looking Shadow i have ever seen, very nice. Plus one on the class being used every day you ride. I am getting my wife Liz to take the class this October as well. And soon to be in the market for a bike just like this one for her. Good luck with it and hope to see it soon. cooldude

Congrats Sherry.  Iris had a yellow and black 1100.  It didn't have those nice looking hard bags though.

 cooldude Congratulations Sherry!
A beautiful machine you have there! The Tourer always seemed the rarer of the Shadows, the 11 spoke wheels really set them off. I still ride my last Shadow Aero at least once a week.  A great choice!
