I am located near downtown San Diego.

What's up guys. I'm a new guy here, but my dad was an old Valkyrie owner and pointed me this direction. Hopefully be able to meet some of you guys and do a little riding in the future.

Long story short, I just lost my beloved '98 Valk… I put nearly 80k on her and a tow truck driver used some weak straps that resulted in my bike falling off the truck and being declared a total loss. I purchased it back from the insurance company.

Had some light mechanical work done on it, and it is running. Rode it today for a very short while.
It is having clutch issues and probably needs a new clutch.
Most likely has oil in the top end from flipping over, as it is burning oil/smoking.
Tank and front fender have repairable damage. Tank is not leaking and holds gas.
Unfortunately if I want to salvage it there needs to be a CHP inspection/etc., which would require a full repair and I don't have the time or money to put into that right now. Unless I find someone very quickly that wants to take the bike off my hands as-is for a price I am OK with, I am going to part it out.

I also have a large amount of extra Valkyrie parts from a second bike - close to a complete bike minus the frame and rear wheel.

I will start working on posting in the classifieds as well, but to be honest the majority will be going to eBay. If there are any SoCal brothers or people in nearby states that want some/all of this stuff, I would much rather it sell locally and will make major price adjustments to reflect that.

Here's a short (and incomplete) list of what I have:

1998 Valkyrie Standard. Complete bike w/ issues described above.

Engine from a '99 Touring. Missing a left side cover and bolts.
From the same '99 I also have the wiring, coils, ignition module, starter, alternator, front and rear fenders, front wheel w/ tire and rotors, a bunch of random metal parts, plastic parts, chrome pieces, some RIVCO parts including a floorboards set and another heel-toe shifter floorboards set, a Dynatek Dyna3000 Variable Ignition Module, handful of stock pegs (passenger and rider), turn signals, bags of nuts and bolts, an engine guard or two, a couple sets of stock pipes (one good, one iffy), a complete radiator with chrome tubing and a chrome cover, airbox, and a bunch of other random stuff. I think I have a one-piece Corbin seat as well.

If you're interested in some of this stuff let me know ASAP before it goes to eBay.
Alternatively, if somebody wants to come take the whole bike, engine, and all the parts off my hands  at the same time… I'm sure someone with room in their garage can make a small fortune off this stuff and I will sell at a package price.

Let me know guys.

I am located near downtown San Diego.
