I know it's a long ways away. BUT, I was wondering what you guys were thinking for a route to Spearfish ? I was thinking maybe thru Colorado's mountain hiways as I've not been there since I was 13. Anybody got any ideas or experience ? I am really looking forward to my first Inzane !

Yes that is a good route. John, Carl and I did it when we went to Frisco Colorado a few years ago. I'm thinking the first night out we meet in Hurricane Utah. Then plan each day as it comes heading north east. Lots of options for sure.

Hi All

When I did Sturgis 4 years ago here was my route.

Day 1 Phoenix to just south of Salt Lake City UT

Day2 Salt Lake City to Jackson Hole WY: by way of HWY 89 pass Bear Lake

Day 3 Jackson hole WY to Cody WY: By way of the Teton’s, Yellowstone loop.

Day 4 Stay a 2nd night in Cody WY and did Chief Joseph Hwy and Bear Tooth Pass

Day 5 Cody to Spearfish SD: by way of Montana HWY 212 and stopped at the little Big Horn (very amazing place) and Devils Tower

Day 6 thru 9th in Spearfish riding the Black hills and visiting Deadwood.

Day 10 Spearfish to just south of Denver CO.

Day 11 Denver to Durango CO: by way of Fairplay, Gunnison, Ouray and the Million dollar Hwy.

Day 12 Durango Co to Phoenix.

Now that is a trip to Inzane!!!

I’m heading out this Sunday to do 5 National Parks in UT and coming home thru Colorado. I need a little get away. I have been working way too much.

Hope this helps

You might also consider staying on 89 as much as possible. I think it is one of the nicer, more scenic roads around and avoids the interstate.
