Stopped at Barneys of StPete yesterday.  The sales guy that helped me also has a Valk which has had some impressive work done.  I invited him to join the group on rides and this Pizza event.

His Valk is black with yellow flames across the tank and side panels.

So this should bump the post to the top.

I thought this would be a good time to introduce myself.  My name is Chris and I am a new member here on the forum.   My next bike will be a Valk, so I figured it's time start getting to know the platform and the community. Admittedly, I have been trolling here for a while in an attempt to educate myself on these wonderful machines.  I am currently on a 2003 BMW K1200GT, but found that on my last trip the seating position is not as forgiving on my aging frame as it use to be. Most of those I ride with are on street glides, but I just can't do it.  I need something a bit more unique.
The Valk fits the bill for me.  This BMW is my first non - Honda platform.  It just makes sense to gravitate back home.  Frankly, I don't know how  I missed the Valk all these years.  Likely it was due to my focus on Honda's V4's (VFR's).
So... if there's not too much objection to the off brand ride, I'd like to attend your little get together.
I am coming out of Tampa and would like to meet up with a few folks headed up to your gathering from this area.
I look forward to meeting you all and having a look at a wide cross section of Valks.
Thanks
Chris

He really likes his new ride and is looking forward to meeting the rest of the gang.
The other guy has a nice looking Harley, cool dude as well.  cooldude

Welcome Chris. There should be a pretty big group coming from over that way. They will see your post and invite you to ride up with them. We welcome all bikes. I'm currently mounting a Valkyrie engine in a Harley Streetglide frame with BMW tank and fenders.

OK..not really..is that even possible??? Roll Eyes

Soon as I hit the lotto I'm buying an 1800 engine and wiring harness. Then a bare Valkyrie frame and mount it in there. Show Honda what we really wanted, not what they gave us.  crazy2

Hey Chris

I have it on good authority Sherry is getting her training in Motorcycles so she can Valet park the bikes at the party.  If you get there early she'll probably get a wash and wax on your ride also.   Evil

See you there

Phooey, I guess I am going to cancel coming to the party, wife has an appointment for 8 am at the eye doctor that Sat.  If I can get back to the house by 11, I will try to make it. Just depends on how quick she gets done. Doing the preliminary stuff as she has eye surgery coming up in a couple weeks for glaucoma. Really wanted to make this one, just have to play it by ear.

Thanks for all the welcome wishes.  This feels like a great community.

Gil, someone will have to bring up to speed on the humor behind the bike parking by Sherry.
I look forward to meeting you too, Sherry.

Still looking for a few folks to ride up with.

Altogether, I'm really looking forward this little get together.

Chris, the humor is I am just getting my endorsement so will be a real newbie (I rode YEARS ago b4 you needed an endorsement) and I can't reach the ground on the bigger/taller Valks. And Gil just likes to pick on me!
Also, I am the bossy hostess that will be making everyone wear the name tags. Cheesy welcome to the madness, and can't wait to meet you. ~Sherry~
P.S. Gil lies....I am not washing or waxing anyone's bike but my own now lol

It was painful waiting on Sherry.  But there you have it.  She will be tagging us like the Valets at hotels.   The wash thing allows us to ride in with a dirty bike and claim we were under the impression Sherry was doing the wash/wax on early arrivals.   uglystupid2
