Ok guys, Im not trying to start a religious bashing thread or anything like that.  If you are offended at the word God use the back button now, that word is in this post.  Ok, I have a message for Florida VRCC Christians, well even for non Christians.  You don't have to be a Christian to want to do what I am going to ask you to do.  So listen up and give this a think... I have two simple questions for you.

1.  Are you registered to vote?

2.  Do you vote?

See, it is possible (very hard to know exact numbers) that as much as half of Florida Christians aren't even registered to vote.  It is also probably that upwards of half of the registered Christian voters choose to stay home on voting day.

This is a problem.

Check out this website http://www.givemelibertytour.com/  I attended a rally in our town last night, it was awesome!

We are among the people this current government does not favor highly, by virtue of our nature; a motorcycle rider, many of us are vets, lots are gun owners, we value freedom, liberty and our God given rights, you know...what it says in our Constitution.  If you are ok with your rights being whittled away and Constitution being trampled on, then continue to do nothing.  If you want things to change, then you have to change

If all (ok most all) Christians in Florida would do three things we could start a turn around in this state that may spill over into the Nation.  Oklahoma is already following Florida in this.

Three things:

1.  Get registered to vote

2.  Commit to actually voting regularly

3.  Vote for candidates that value the constitution and Godly principles regardless of party

And one more thing.  If you don't vote to make things better, DONT BE WHINING ABOUT HOW THINGS ARE.

Lets make a difference!  Why not attend a rally close by you if possible and learn more, get involved. There is a calendar of rallies on that website (above)

Proud to say that I have been doing those 3 things for a long time now. A fourth, worth while effort is to get others registered and then actually go vote, regardless of their party. I follow the Christian Conservative principles you outline because those are my values. Others may not share those beliefs and that is fine too. What is appalling is how low the voter turnout is in this country, especially among conservatives. Some believe that is why Obama got a second term. Thanks for posting some great advice Jeff.

Exactly FVR, that's what this movement is all about...........empowering others to get registered and to vote, you should go to a rally and get on a precinct team in your area

Chris,

Your thread is spot on. The reason we are where we are is because we did not exercise our right to vote.  Embarrassed Sad Cry Angry  Instead, we were happy to allow ourselves to be called the "SILENT MAJORITY", and sit around happy with what we had, but not wiling to insure that things stayed as we liked them.  tickedoff  Meanwhile, smaller, but much more vocal groups were not happy with the status quo, set about changing things to their liking. We have done it to ourselves folks, and it will only change if we do the only thing that we have power to do: VOTE.  cooldude

More than that though, we need to be informed about issues, and how they affect us. It's up to all of us. You want to keep your rights? Work for them!!!
