Hi Pete,
Lay flat on your back, arms out straight so you look like a "T"
Raise leg up straight, vertical, not bent.
Move your raised leg towards the floor in the direction of the leg still on the floor.
Hold as long as you can, try several minutes at first. Keep your shoulders flat on the floor. Your range of motion and the time you can hold it will both increase with time.
It helps much if you have a partner to hold/apply pressure to the leg at first until you get used to this.
Switch legs and repeat
I was crippled with pain about a year ago and did this morning and night and found immediate relief. The more I did this, the longer the relief lasted. I have been pain and Dr. free since. A Marshal Arts Instructor taught me this and it has given me my life back.
Very simple and free, hope it works for you.

Try it and let me know what you think, I have another but it's much harder and you will need to work on this and get limbered up some first.

Ya' know? I think we could do this pretty easy if Stuffy would just give us a list of everything that hurts on him one ailment at a time!  Evil cooldude
Hey, had to get him back before he gets too far ahead.
You know, I have been bothered by this post for quite awhile now and, after reading it again, feel like telling you something "Pappy". This was a cheap shot at John, no one calls him "Stuffy" by the way, especially his friends, and you should have apologized for it. I'm sure you thought it was cute and probably meant no offense, but some took offense, especially me, to it. I have no idea what you meant by "getting him back". Kind of a jerk move on your part in my opinion. I won't comment on the entire "Breaking 10,000" thread in general. John is a dear friend to a lot of us and I felt you were out of line and should apologize.  Just wanted to get that off my chest.

If you would take a look under Johns name he has listed that he is also known as (AKA) "Stuffy" so I used that name. Got a problem with that now?
Secondly, if you read past where I made that comment and he responded I added a second comment making sure he knew I was having fun with him. I feel I know him well enough at this point to do this and he certainly has had some fun with me as well. We go back and forth quite often and tease each other on a fairly regular basis.
Third, if you have an issue with something said, whether it be with me or anyone else it would be a little more appropriate to give that person a private message first and settle it rather than bring it up on the open forum.

...awkward silence....    Congrats to all of us on the 10K milepost (woot! woot!),  but can we talk about our panhandle trip now?   ???

Doesn't it snow in the panhandle in winter?
That's a long way north of here.
