I rebuilt two of them and both leak past that stupid spring loaded ball when turned off.

I depend totally on the Dan Marc and Seafoam to clean the carb seats and save my arse from hydrolock.

That depends on what the problem with the original one is.  The cover set kit isn't a cure-all.

Part number is: 16950-MZ0-033 and it's $107.65 from DealerCostParts.com
http://www.dealercostparts.com/pages/OemParts#/Honda/GL1500C_AC_(99)_MOTORCYCLE%2c_USA%2c_VIN%23_1HFSC341-XA200001/FUEL_TANK/GL1500C-99-AC/2Y14MZ0VMZ04F1600O

I know a lot of people use aftermarkets, but in my opinion, there's nothing wrong with the OEM. The way I look at it, I really can't complain about spending a little over one hundred dollars for a part that lasted over 15 years, especially considering that it comes complete with a new tank screen as well.

When I was going through my bike, I replaced the petcock with a new one, and then added a electric cut-off from Dan-Marc. I also added a Golan in-line fuel filter to keep any crud out of the carbs.

Cheap insurance in my book.
