Haunted Forest Lane Cruise - November 1

Twice a year, the ban on cruising Forest Lane gets lifted and the vintage muscle cars come out.  It's much more than a car show, it's a time machine!  Several folks from our group have turned out to participate in the cruising and the perusing of the cars on display.  Timbo and Houdini even intimidated a hot rod or two last cruise! Let's get a bunch of Valks out there and show them who's really got the muscle!  Check out the Forest Lane page on Facebook for more details and any updates.  Timbo and PlaneCrazyGal will be out there with their bikes and will also be selling Forest Lane Wall Groupie t-shirts in celebration of the completion of the restoration of the famous Forest Lane Wall mural, recently named a finalist in The Dallas Observer's Best of Dallas Poll.  There will also be vendors with Cruise t-shirts, live music, and food vendors.

This sounds like a great idea!  I think I've only missed one of these since they started a couple of years ago. 

Each time I've gone, there have been lots of cool cars, a handful of car clubs, and an occasional cool bike. 

The only group of two-wheelers I've seen was a Vespa club.      Scooters are cool, but we can do better than that, right?

After discussing this event at last night's meeting, we'd like to invite our out-of-town VRCC brethren to come up and join us for Cruise Night.  Let's show 'em who has the REAL muscle on the street...and more importantly not let those silly Vespas steal the show!  ;-)

Definately interested; let me talk to the Old Geezer Richard this weekend and see if we can get a contingent from San Antonio together and come up to DFW for that.  Probably wont see any better riding weather until next spring!
