Gidday ,Will the front portion of  a Honda VTX 1800c seat fit on my Valkyrie GL .....the reason is I want lower my position due to windshield height ......are the mounting bolts etc the same ...the 1800 like the Valkyrie is a two piece.......thanks,Kia kaha in advance

I happen to have a set of VTX seats, and though I can't recall precisely why, I know they won't fit out of the box.  I'll look tonight, but as I recall dimly, the VTX mounts like the shadow, with two bolts from the sides and locks in under the front (tank).  The Valk hangs in under the back and locks down with the key latch.  That all being said, who knows what one might be able to make work.  It's a good looking seat.

Checked it out.  It's not going to work without herculean effort. It mounts like I said before, completely unlke the valk. I don't think the lines are even right if you built some brackets to make it fit, it wouldn't sit right on the bike.  It just doesn't match up.
