Hello. I have a 98 standard I tried to find answer in search got  side tracked reading threads but never found what I am looking for.  With a pingle do you need to loop fuel line?  It looks like I can hook directly to nipple that is pointing toward front and fuel  line wlll be shorter but down hill and I can get in there to disconnect it

No need for a loop, just make sure it is downhill from the petcock to the tee.

I would think that you do not want to loop the line. You want as straight as possible, no kinks and pointed downhill.
