First time for the Dark Side today. Installed a new Yokohama Envigor 205/60/16 H rated. 38psi, no ideal how much pressure I want on my 2000 IS. 11,000 mile Avon up front. Only was able to ride about 25 miles because of limited time. Couldn't tell a lot of difference, rode out into country and the speed / rpm was identical to mc tire by my gps. 63 mph @ 3000rpm, spedo indicates nearly 70, had been hoping to slow rpm a touch. Seems good, looks good, probably will tell some difference with time and road conditions. Rode tight circles in a parking lot and could not feel any difference there either. One cool thing is coming to a stop and not having to put your foot down! Firefighter

WELCOME TO THE DARKSIDE overall dia of the 205-60 is almost same as stock rear MC tire, will have to go to 205-65 to drop the rpm's.....that's what i'm doing next time. I have 31k on a GY assurance triple tread 205-60. Looking to go to a tire with more rounded shoulders next time. ENJOY THE RIDE

I enjoy riding every time and don't get to ride near enough for my satisfaction. I will try a 65 if it fits ok. I knew some were using it but just wasn't sure what to do. The 60 fit with plenty of clearance. I'm looking at front tires now, thinking of trying a rear tire up front, but want the same size, at least. Was reading Dunlop makes a 150/80/17 D404F bias I think. Still lookin. Want longer life, my last two sets were 10,000 mile tires and I mostly ride easy. Firefighter

I've been running the D404F & a CT on the rear since I bought my Valk. Have had good mileage and no complaints. My tire mileage on the D404F bias running 34-36 lbs pressure. The last change I increased to 38 lbs. I have changed 2 or 3 of the tires early before cross country trips.
Tire Mileage from my records.

That 404F is sold as a front tire correct. The ones I found for sale are front tires. I do want to keep the same size, but hear rear tires up front have advantages, like mileage. So far the only rear tire in 150/80/17 that I have found is the Bridgestone Exedra G701 Radial. I have not read anyone using this tire up front yet. I'm still undecided. Thanks, Firefighter

Yes the 404F is a front tire. In 2005 the first 404F cost me $68 the one on there now was $121.36. I buy most of my tires from our local independant shop. Divide that $121 by 14K and each 1K miles cost you $8.66 you can change out early for a trip and always ride safe.
