Well here's the issue. I have my turn signals mounted under a light bar. All of my turn signals work fine except for the right front. I've already checked and replaced the 1157 bulb and that didn't solve the problem. The regular running light works on the signal but when i turn on the right signal the turn signal stays on and the signal does nothing but the right rear signal flashes fine. When I turn on the the left signal both the left front and rear lights flash fine however the right front one goes completely off but the right rear stays on like normal.
Any suggestions on where to start looking ?
Thanks
You have a ground wire unplugged somewhere, or a corroded one.
1st place to look is under the right side cover in the fair sized rubber boot protector.......
Make up a rather heavy temporary wire, put it on the ground post of the battery, run it to somewhere on the frame and see if that helps. If it does you have a poor connection from the battery to the engine,
You can do 1 of 2 things, 1) fight getting the ground end of the cable off the motor & clean up the corrosion in the thread area, if that is clean so to speak, go to your friendly auto parts store, buy 2 cable lugs & about 24" of stock battery cable. build the cable soldering the cable into the lugs. I went off the starter bolt & run it to a good frame ground under the right side cover. Solved all my electrical problems.
Happy fishing............... Been there, done that, but didn't buy the damn 'T' shirt.....
