We went once.  Good event.  Seems like they have two a year?

Unfortunately we won't be going, but here's the link in case anyone needs more info:  http://thunderbeachproductions.com/.   It's in Panama City.

Yeah I had the date wrong.  That's for another event that I got talked into going to with some.guys I ride with.  It's called the "3rd Annual Panama City Beach Urban Bike Weekend."

Somehow I get the feeling this is going to be a little different than the events I usually attend.......

I'll probably make it to Thunder Beach too though.  Any recommendations on lodging?  I can always stay in Pensacola with a former coworker and ride over each day so it's no big deal but would rather be in the middle.

Lots of places but I don't know about availability. Here is a link that might help you make a decision.

Some of the guys I know from a local motorcycle club are staying at a place called the Beach Tower Resort Motel so I just got a room there.

I noticed they moved the dates next year for Thunder Beach to the end of October.  I don't know how I feel about going to a city with two rallies at once.  No matter what you're riding, sitting in a traffic jam isn't fun........

"Urban" bike weekend?  Never heard of it and I'm only about 70 miles away.

What the heck is an "urban" biker?
