I have wanted to take a cruise up to Alaska or somewhere up north to see the northern lights for many years and tonight I came across this time lapse video of the lights as seen from Norway.

http://video.msn.com/?mkt=en-us&vid=75157eeb-9a19-4bc5-ae4b-2a9252c59935&playlist=videoByUuids:uuids:9f9206dd-4ef4-4331-bce9-28ec143860c2%2Cc257adce-5050-4ae2-a11f-9c5c05cfabd5%2C773f8d65-83d0-4c41-867c-547a55fccda8&from=MSNHP&tab=m1189615355930&GT1=42003

Dag, do you get to see the lights like this?  It must be an awesome sight.

It would be cool to ride a Valk under those lights, now it's on topic.

National Geographic rocks!  Great Video.

I've read that Aurora Borealis has been seen as far south as the Davis Mountains here in Texas.  That could be a way cool ride through Ft. Davis, Marfa, Alpine, Marathon, McDonald Observatory (not in that order!).  Let's see...Marfa Lights, Star Gazing and a Fort!...not to mention the West Texas scenery and maybe the Northern Lights...
