I was going to order some parts and the web site shows a GL 1500C A
and a GL 1500 AC.  My owners manual says  GL 1500C. What do I have?   Bike is a 1979 that I just got last week.
Thanks

Correction 2 models GL 1500C A other listing was for a GL 1500C AC. Which model do I use to order parts?  My owners manual say GL 1500C.

1979 ?
So, if its a 1997, then there were only the STD and Tour. Pretty much all parts are the same for both.

I think the AC model is the California model.

Ya got a STD or a Tourer?

Tourer has hard saddle bags, STD is a bare bones bike unless soemont added them.

Basically both bikes are the same, parts wise.

1997 GL1500C         Standard

1997 GL1500CT        Tourer

Not much difference... Tourer has hard bags and a windshield...

What does your bike say you have? Look over the VIN plate and use what is there.

But like already said, there is only 2 models 1997, and the Tourer has hard side bags and a windshield, but basically all the parts are the same.

Yes it's a 1997 not a 1979.  Bike has a Honda windshield and Honda Valkyrie Leather saddlebags.  Looks like I have a standard?

AC is CA bike, A is 49 real states bike. If you have an evaporator can under the bike it is a CA bike and has different carbs, cams and extra useless vacuum lines. Other than that, everything is pretty interchangeable. My winter project? Loose the CA cams and gain more grins.  coolsmiley
