Has anyone tried the E 3 spark plugs on their Valks . They seem to increase H.P. around 2% .
Should have an increase in mileage also. Thanks.

save your money. old racer trick, same for the halo plugs and split-fire.
clip/file back your side electrode so only half of the center electrode is exposed, does same thing. similar to the Bosch dble side electrode plugs.
that is what I do and I use autolite reduced sized center electrode plugs.
some like the iridium plugs. Dr Jacob of Jacob's electronics although he doesn't own it anymore always stated that if one sees inprovement from a plug then the ignition system is weak. Stronger coils would be first mod. I tried coils from a CBR1000xx, bigger and different ohm rating providing a hotter spark then stock coils, made a difference but my dyna ignition didn't like them due to the ohm rating.

I have put E3 plugs in my 2002 Dodge Dakota about two years ago. I have put 20,000 miles on the plugs. Truck runs great no change in mpg (17 Hwy) . I also put them in my 1999 Honda Blackbird . I have 60,000 miles on the bike , 8,000 on the plugs. Noticed 2mpg increase on first long trip I took after installation.
I just put them in my 2002 Valkyrie standard. Bought it October 2013 with 1,900 miles on it. I now have 13,000 on it. I have only 1000 miles on the plugs but I am getting 1mpg more. I'll continue to monitor this. I'll post back later.

We made our own 'split-fires' long before there were split-fires.
Spark plugs are pretty much spark plugs, they all accomplish the same thing.
I stick with NGKs.
But, its your bike, try them and see what happens.

at the drags and Nascar. It ought to yield

I have pretty good luck indexing with just 6 or 7 plugs. It doesn't have to be perfect to give good results. Basically quicker starting and smoother idle. Id like to say 8-10 hp increase, but that would be a lie. |

Its a process of getting the spray aimed at the center of the chamber (nearer to the intake valve) instead of at the wall. You have to get the plug to stop at the right place. I do it by juggling plugs. They sell indexing rings that help you to more accurately adjust where they stop.  |

Had E3s 5 yrs ago. Didnt like them and took them out a week later. Felt doggy to me. Put NGK back in and it was fine.
