Thank you for the input on my exhaust smoke - no more worries.  My next question is about controls.  I see floorboards in my near future and I want to do something different with the controls.  Are boards and controls interchangeable with the Goldwing?  I have been looking for different controls and I'm not coming up with much

Don't think Goldwing ones work without improvising. These are the easiest to get since they are still made.Some here have them and like them. Mine are Kuryakyn but no longer made and I use the stock foot peg.
