Get a RoadSmith.
TrikeShop in Mpls or Daytona.
Independent axle and a tad longer in the wheel base for a better ride.
If you happen to buy a RoadSmith, tell Taylor in Mpls RJ sent ya.
Yes, mine has a Harley Tour Box.

There are dozens of Valkyries that have been triked within the VRCC organization. Go to "Just Pics" in the list below your name at the top and start looking at all the bike/trike pics in there. Take RJ's advice, Roadsmith is the way to go. And they're one of the few that will sell you the kit directly so you can do it yourself if you're mechanically inclined.

Roger did his last year (I think it was last year). He should be at the Pizza meet in Z'hills Saturday. He goes by reclaimerroger.

There are a lot of advantages to triking a bike that you know but in pure dollars I found it cheaper to buy one already done and sell my '99 I/S.
I ended up with a California Side Car. Straight axle with a Ford 8" rear end, but I like the way it handles.
My brother found the same thing. He just bought a 2000 I/S that had been done with a Motor Trike kit and saved a considerable amount when you factor in the selling price of his old ride.

I will be at the pizza party and you are welcome to take the trike for a ride. It is a roadsmith and so far I love it. I had a champion on a gold wing before. The Valk rides better because of the longer wheelbase but it does take 20 acres to turn around.
