Hello,

Honda wants $2.50 for the trim clip (see picture).  Before I spend $5.00 for these 2 clips, I was wondering if anyone knows of lower priced alternatives, e.g. at an auto parts store.  The ones I did see at a couple of stores were either too small or too wide.

Thanks,

I agree, $2.50 for that part is a rip-off. I replaced a damaged one on my bike about a year back with a trim clip I bought from Autozone. It came in a pack of 4 and it fit perfectly. I still have the remaining 3 left in the original packaging. I'll see if I can dig it up from the parts drawer and post a pic here later today.

I just found a flat head screw that fit it and its been on there for 5 or 6 years no problem.  I have removed that cover 3 or 4 times and the screw still works great

Autozone has a good selection.   Worked for me.
