Being it cooled off in the last few days I thought I'd fire up the Valk and take a ride.  "Wrong!"  Put the key in and nothing.  Checked battery and had a full charge, reseated all the relays and fuses and still nothing.  Worst fear was the ignition switch zonked out.  Jumpered the back of the switch and it fired up.  Had to order new switch off eBad for $65.  While I was in there I pulled the tank and checked the air filter and will do a little cleaning of the frame and various parts under the tank.  Guess that's what I get for not starting her up in two months.

Most of the time a dose of wd40 in the back of the switch will cure that, grease on the contacts dries out and keeps it from making contact.

On the bottom of the switch housing there is a little hole that is probably for  drainage of condensation.  I sprayed contact cleaner/lubricant in it and worked the switch and didn't do anything.  Bought a new front tire about three months ago that needs to be mounted.  My Valk is starting to show signs of exposure to elements because I have no garage to park her in.  Possibly thinking of selling her or trading for something with less chrome.

Just spent the better part of 30 minutes hunting a Facebook post of someone selling a fold away exterior motorcycle storage unit.  The frame either bolts to the house or the ground and a canopy sort of thing extends and folds out to form a cover that encloses the bike and attaches to the ground (anchors) on the other side of the bike.  It was used and cheap but I can't find it!

Something like that may be what you need?

Found it!

Very nice Ron. I test drove a newer model a few weeks ago as a potential toy. They are quite the nice little rag-top!  cooldude

Those are fun and a lot of bang for your buck. I'd love to drive one on the good motorcycle roads we ride.

It's a restored 1990 with 112K milage.  Traded it for a, almost never used, '95 Ford pickup that had been sitting in my yard for 9 years.  This is really a fun air-conditioned Go-Kart.
