Valkyrie, chooser of the slain

Hi
I have just secured my first Valkyrie and joined this great club
I am importing a 1999 Valkyrie Interstate into New Zealand (the land of the Hog) from USA.
Is the headlight fully adjustable high, low beam, dip if there is one, to cope with the change in driving conditions i.e. from left side (beam) to right?

Please advise

the headlight unit is a adjustable unit for up and down beam throw. and right to left. both head light bulbs are on at same time. you get to select high or low. the headlight system is very bright on the Interstate.

New Zealand looks to be an awesome place to ride !   I don't think you'll have any problem with aiming the lights.

Valkyries made in the US were only made to run on the right side of the road. 
JUST KIDDING...We vacationed in your country many years ago and really enjoyed it.  Welcome aboard.

The OEM bulb is expensive. Most use a cheaper auto bulb, H4 I believe, and remove the 2 lower tabs that clock the bulb.

Dang.  Wish we could do that here   Sad.  I've been hoping Honda would release the CrossTourer here, but no go; instead we got the VFR1200, that found no love...  Not sporty enough for the sport guys, and not tourer enough for the tourer guys...  My local stealership still has a brand new 2011 on the floor... for $16k! 

I've looked into importing from either Europe or you guys, but the consensus seems to be its dang near impossible for us...

Good luck on the import.

I like the look of the Crosstourer too!  That would be nice for running around town and for work commuting.

X kiwi living in Mellbourne and new Valkyrie owner also.
I had to comment on your New Zealand (land of the hog) comment and add (world of the hog) as every land is Harley land worldwide now. A few of my friends have harley's and have been trying to get me to buy one for a couple of years.They hated my Valk on first sight which just makes me love it even more.
Incredible power plant in these bikes and beautifully engineered you are going to love it. Smiley
