Tucson - Its a dry heat

These are tiny little appx 1" x 3/4" by maybe 1/16" flat rectangles of rubber that isolate the plastic saddlebag from the metal frame piece.  4 on each saddlebag bottom.

Anybody have any pics of exactly where these go?  When I pulled the parts for painting, seems someone had repainted previously, and the rubbers were gone.

Thanks.

Jess,
Thanks.  Guess I should have clarified - already have that diagram.

Unfortunately, it's almost, but not quite, worthless when it comes to actually gluing the pieces on...

What I really need are pics with saddlebags off.  I painted the bas, and powdercoated the steel, so I gots no markings left.

Neither of my bikes had these when I took them apart to paint. They still have none of these after I put them back together coolsmiley so I am useless for help in this area 2funny I don't know why or what they would be for because the grommet that the bolt goes through keeps it from hitting the metal mounting brackets.

This is the only bag mount isolation that I am aware of... rubber bolt grommets.  I cannot remember if they are on all four bag bolt mounts (each) or only the two on bottom (I think all four).  I know when I pull my bags for maintenance, I have to pay attention and not lose them.  Sometimes they stay in place, and sometimes they fall out.  I don't remember any rubber pad/feet anywhere (except on the interstate bag lids, while laying over on the side of the bags hanging on their cables).  Properly mounted (and bent a little by hand if necessary), the exhaust heat shields under the bags don't touch the bags, and there are no rubber spacers or bumpers between them and the bags.

Jess you are correct there are 4 two on the back and two on the bottom, but if they are falling out something is wrong they are larger than the hole they go in and have to be squeezed in half to put in or remove and it is still a struggle to get them out or put back in.

Well lets see.... I guess the rubber isolators stay put, but there are some bolt sleeves that just drop into them that fall out.  Isn't that right... rubber isolators, bolt sleeves, and small 10mm bolts thru both?

Again, this is all just memory.  It's too cold and wet and dark to go out and look.

The rubber pads go between the metal bag guards and the mounts. Keep the pans from rattling on the mounts. You can probably lay the pan on the mounts and see where they go. At least that's where they were on my Interstate cooldude

+1  I just painted mine, and the rubber pads (#8) were between the heat shield and the chrome mount rails - three along the length, running longways, and one running the short distance near the front.
