Nice! Big bags, not wallet size. Wonder if they come pre painted? That is what I have been waiting for. Now for a windshield that is large and actually works, and we have a winner! cooldude

I kind of wish they made them without the cut outs for the blinkers. I'd rather use an integrated brake light and have more space.

Ultimately though, I'm on the bandwagon.  I already have the brackets and this is what I've been waiting for.  Any idea of a release date?

Hey Mike, do you have the link where you found that?  I can't find it.

During the ordering, paying for and waiting on my Corbin seat, I made
a pest of myself with the support dude... one of the things I asked him about
was saddlebags... he said they were in development, and that he'd let me know
more... he sent me an email the other day, said they're about to go on the site,
and he included that ad copy... I like the bags... I'm about to go out right now
and put these risers on my bike... if I can get the bike comfortable, I aim to get some
of those bags, from the pictures they seem perfect to me...

Cool... sometimes being a pest pays off!!  Any price info?
I like the helibar idea; but would still have the problem of how to mount the windshield.

That unofficial ad posted above says, 'Aesthetically Pleasing Paint Matched'.

From that I'd say yes, it comes pre painted.

No price info, I guess it will be similar to others... $1,800 or so...

The LED pod will also need to have a mount.

I'm going to fix the comfort problem, or sell the bike... I test fitted the
new risers and Real Valkyrie bars today, it seems like they might do
the trick. I think I'm going to move on trying to reroute or extend
the controls...

They appear to hide, blend in with the fender and balance out the pods. They flow with
the lines of the bike. Winner  cooldude

Considering they absorb the big rear fender swell and are cut out around the signals, I'd sure want to see just how much they will carry before ordering some.

Beetle bags for valk look good, but don't carry very much.

Their internal shape could be clumsy but the Corbin blurb says 45 liters of storage. The F6B has 44.

Here's the bars/risers I'm trying to get to work...

That little "collar" on the OEM risers that plugs into the rubber
mount is a troublemaker... As are the funny little tabs on the
OEM risers that the LED pod mounts to... And, of course, the
windshield won't fit on these handlebars...

Since this thread got hijacked already by the risers.....

Since you have your bars off can you measure the riser spacing between the two risers?  I want to know if it's 130mm like on the VTX series.

Used bags for my 1999 Interstate are more than $1800 with the mounts and painted to match.  I like how the lines on the rear of the bags match the angle of the pipes.
My $.01875.

Exactly what I was looking for, except the color looks a little off from the fender.
F6gal, when you get your bags, could you let me know how well the blue metallic color matches the blue metallic fender?

I thought the same thing.  The set pictured is the only set they have made already.  They said I could have that set, if I wanted to get them sooner (for a Christmas present); otherwise about 6 weeks to manufacture.  The plant wasn't open today (Thanksgiving, I guess), but he is supposed to call me Monday, I'll ask him then about the color match.  Psycho's blue bike is still in Florida.

Spoke to my sales guy about the color match; apparently several people have asked about it.  He says it's just the lighting and that they do match the bike.  That set isn't available after all, they belong to the owner of that bike (he loaned them the bike so they could design the bags/seats).  The sales guy said the owner picked up the bike and was happy with the color match.

We shall see!

Corbin has been doing that forever, if you are the lucky one having them use your bike to mock up a new product, you get the (first good) product free.

Years ago, I seem to remember them soliciting for brand new bike donors on their website.

I should have stated one more Valkyrie. As to say they are headed in the right direction for aftermarket parts it wasn't a SLAM as some think. Those make the 1800 much improved.

Gotcha.  I bought the 1800 Valkyrie "hoping" for a decent aftermarket parts line up but not expecting one. I assumed it would have as much aftermarket stuff as the Rune myself (which isn't much).  But it's not my only bike so it's not the end of the world if they don't make everything I want for it.  I will still be a little sad if I can't at least get an exhaust and a Power Commander.

I bought both brackets thinking who ever made hard bags would use the stock brackets.  Apparently that was a waste of money on my part but not much I can do now.

Personally I like the look of the new bags but not enough to pay 1800 when the leather ones are around 400.  I was expecting maybe 1000 for hard bags but double that is a little much.  Sadly I'll probably just end up crying about it and buying a pair this spring when the weather gets hot.

The power commander is already available, and the youtube installation
video is very informative just for watching someone disassemble a whole
bunch of the bike, side plastic gone, gas tank gone, air box gone...

I totally understand in the cost of the Corbin hard bags but a set of used scratched up OEM bags off an Interstate will go for $1000 plus with the mounting hardware.

$1800 is a lot cash, but Corbin makes quality stuff as far as I know. I imagine they've put some time and money into these bags that at present, will most likely not see great sales. Someone pointed out that the original Beetle Bags were just a little cheaper and that was how long ago? So, all in all, if I had chose to buy a Valkyrie instead of the F6B, I'd be saving my pennies for these bags for sure. If they had had these bags out when I was shopping with the "fever", there is a good chance I would've bought a Valkyrie. The bags is definitely one of my considerations when I bought the F6B instead. Now If Woody would just fab up a custom forked fairing.... coolsmiley
