I have been trying to go to this event the last three years and things just did not work out and had to skip it.

Looks like this year is a go.

Anyone been there before?

I am told that there is not enough time in a day to look at all the cars there.

Jack I haven't been to the Turkey Run show but went to the spring show on Good Friday last spring.  You might see it all but you would have to walk fast and not spend  much time any one place.
The most interesting part is sitting along the exit road watching all the vehicles leave.  You have to get a place to sit early but it is worth it watching all the different vehicles driving out.

Sherrie And I Went A Few Years Ago And  Every Day Is Like A New Car Show With All Of The Cars Coming And Going Over A Four Day Period. People And Cars From All Over The World Show Up For This Event. You Probably Could Not See It All, Even If You Attended All Four Days.  We May Be There On Friday As The Weather Is Supposed To Be Great This Weekend.

If You Ride The Bike I Believe That There Is Special Parking Near The Main Entrance By Turn Four. We May Just Take The Camaro , Just So We Can Park In The Infield.

Last time I went I happened to walk by a hotel that a lot of the hot rods were staying at. Noticed some weird orange pops of light coming from the parking garage.
There were over a dozen rods in there doing a flame show with their exhausts! Awesome!!

Jeff and I go every year. Usually we go on Fri. But this year Jeff is working. So maybe Saturday. There is bike parking up close. I am usually wore out before we have seen everything. I also enjoy the swapmeet. I think Jeff prefers going on the bike so I don't come home with anything. One year I did talk him into pulling the trailer Smiley

This one time, a while back, couple of friends and I went out for a ride.
Stopped at a Golden Corral for lunch and as we got to the cash register, the nice young lady asked my friend if he wanted the discount?

SENIOR DISCOUNT

we busted out laughing right there, I think she was a little embarrassed but we told her it was completely OK

Needless to say, he still gets drilled about that one every time we get a chance  Grin

Hey Jo

I am planning on Saturday as well.
Will try to take advantage of the motorcycle parking.
Maybe we will cross paths out there, always good to say Hi to you both.  cooldude

This car was bought at the Turkey Trot and is resting in my garage up in Connecticut. I've owned it for over 16 years.

Nope. It's a "sister car" to the Fairlane. This one is actually a '66 Mercury Comet Cyclone.
