Bikers don't need shrinks!

Just a quick update for those who were reading about my search for new insurance since Progressive decided to give my premium a substantial increase.  Geico was going to be a bit less, even with me expanding my coverage a bit.  After I got the number of a Valk rider's former girl, Kathy McGarry (940-437-2378) who handles Dairyland, I gave her a call.  The first quote was the preliminary quote before running credit, etc.  It was a little higher than Geico for the same expanded coverage, but still less than Progressive with the lesser coverage.  I asked her to go ahead with the full quote process and it came in about $300/year less than Geico for the two bikes.  She's got my business (until Dairyland hikes up its rates higher than the others).  That's enough to pay for some of the ammo I just ordered.  Thought you guys would want to know.

I've been a Dairyland customer for around 30 years. For me at least, they've always been consistently lower than anybody else.

I had Dairyland when I had my wreck.  They were prompt, and efficient in getting my bike taken care of, and paying my claim.

Hey Side car , I have had real good service with Bikeline Ins. .... I have full coverage on my 98 valk and my trailer is also cover up to $800 just for the trailer only and my pemium is about $160 per year ... no compaints here and they are also  quick with your claims ...  and they don't basis anything on your credit ... from I understand Insurance quotes are based on your zip code where you live .....  Thanks Richard

I'm still sold on Progressive and they are the lowest I can find.  My rate from them has dropped the last 2 years so I signed up for another year with them.

We went with Foremost through AARP.... got more than twice the coverage for 1/2 the cost of Progressive.

I just got off the phone with Kathy at Dairyland and they quoted me one dollar more per month than I pay to State Farm.

I have two bucks for you if you are looking for an excuse to go with Kathy, Chuck!

There is a large fluctuation of premium cost due to zip codes. Moving out of the metromess has many advantages! ~Jeff

Jeff, I need a better excuse than saving 2 bucks to move but I appreciate the suggestion.

Seems to vary person to person (and of course, place to place).  Chuck, was that the complete quote or the preliminary?  Mine went down over $300 after they did the complete quote.

If mine went down $300, they'd be paying me money.
