Just a few pics of Vilano boat launch we rode to today. Stepson Michael has grown quite fond of the Sabre and wants to tag along anytime we ride. I installed the stock exhaust this morning. Found a set for 75 bucs in Cocoa i picked up before the big Thanksgiving dinner we had in Daytona. Started to install them Friday night but soon remembered why i hate exhaust work. The exhaust manifold studs backed out before the nuts broke loose and one had pulled some threads out of the head casting, last guy in there that installed the Long Shots put the studs in short side to block. I spent half the morning hunting down new studs and found them at a muffler shop then never used them as they where a hair to long. I wound up chasing the threads of the old studs and running a 8mm x 1.25 tap into the head port to clean up what was left. Came out good, i disassembled the mufflers from header pipes to make sure i wasn't tweaking any studs while assembling the exhaust. Next I have some electrical issues to look at, the left front blinker stays on constant and won't blink, must be why somebody removed the bulb. I also have a blinky temp light i think is a partially stuck thermostat. I ran the heck out of her for an hour and it doesn't seem to get way to hot, just normal hot. may be a sensor issue.

I'll bet the exhaust made a huge difference. On Sherry's tourer it came with New V/H pipes and we really liked the looks however they were loud so we installed these extra baffles from big city thunder

Poor Liz is going to have to get in line just to ride her own bike.

I'm Glad To Hear That You Did Get That Inexpensive Set of Exhaust To Replace Those Loud Ones. As For The Turn Signal Not Blinking And The Water Temp Light Flashing, I Would Say That It Is A Bad Ground Wire Somewhere. You Could Run A Ground From The Battery To The Turn  Light Housing(Ground), And See If It Functions Properly. I Would Definitely Check All Ground Wire Locations.

Lol, yes the line is long Roger to get on  the "fun machine", I like the naked to the wind feeling for a little while but i am spoiled with a windshield ride for sure. Liz has had some parking lot practice so far and will do some more today.
