A Forest Rat in my book is a squirrel.

Nice Racks are not what they are hyped up to be.
The attributes associated with a nice rack are over rated and generally increase the cost or level of effort to acquire. There are more small tight racks around that need harvested  and generally they eat better.   Bucks with nice racks are fun to look at and show off but not why God put deer on this earth.

I got my buck opening day this year , a nice 17 1/2" spread with 10" G1 that scored 110 BC net.
The little bucks I got when my son was in the stand have more memories.

And no, you can't eat the horns but a doe head hanging over the fireplace looks creepy.
