Nothing came up on a search. 99 Interstate-I have the owners manual and followed the directions. The radio controls work. The clock keeps time. The battery is good. I guess I can pull the fuse and wait for the right time to come around twice a year............thanks *##&*##  DST for nothing. Any ideas?

Can you not get the radio to sound a beep when you depress and hold the clock button?

The radio should be "on" when adjusting the clock.

There is a good chance the buttons need cleaning.  If holding the clock button in until the radio beeps (and the time starts flashing) doesn't work, give the buttons a good cleaning and it should all be good.  I am willing to bet that is your problem.  It happens to mine too regularly.  I will be adding that to my winter project list.  Cheesy

These are some instructions shared with me by a fellow IS rider. I also agree that button contacts may need cleaning. Good luck!  cooldude

Clock
Turn the key on or to ACC> Radio ON > Push and hold the CLOCK button until you
hear a beep and the display starts blinking > Operate the VOLUME lever to adjust the time, push the
volume lever up and hold it until you reach the desired hour, then push the volume lever down and hold
it until you reach the desired minute > Push the CLOCK button again to lock in the time display.

Thanks. I never tried it while the radio was on. Do I have to remove the control from the handlebar to get it apart? I'm at work now, just wondering how I'm going to talk my wife into holding it (the control.....<G>) so I can work on while it's dangling (again-the control......)

It has been a while since I have taken mine off, but I believe you have to remove it from the bars to get to the screws in the bottom to open it up.  Yes, you can have someone hold it for you while you work on it.  The cables have enough slack to allow you to do that.  Make sure you place a towel or blanket over the tank.  Not only do you not want to drop a tool on the tank, but the cleaning fluids could have an ill effect on the painted surfaces.

I can't thank you enough. I turned the radio on and pressed the clock button and it beeped and it worked. I made a notation in my owners manual, it definately does not say that you have to do that. You guys saved me hours of head-scratching yet again. Thanks, thanks, thanks!
