I once found an online manual with diagrams for re and re of side bags, trunk etc that showed the sizes and types of bolts etc... think it was at least for side bags, trunk etc.... but may have been for more... any thoughts... Norway site shut down...  Thanks,  Hox

If you diddle around with the parts fish, you should be able to find everything you need.  Diagrams on top, parts lists (bolt sizes) below.  If you blow up the size of the diagrams (hit the large image button), they can be printed or copy/pasted to your Documents.  (Perhaps a copyright violation, so sue me.)

My link defaults to interstates.

Thanks, helps a lot.   At least I can go to my dealer with numbers in hand.   Hox

leave it to a bunch of valk owners to over engineer something! $10 manual petcock, turn the fuel off each ride or electric if youre gonna forget....problem solved!

btw it takes one guy about 4 hours to drop a motor and replace the gears for $75 and another 5 to put it back together again. i dont have any great tools or mechanical ability and many on this board will testify that my garage isnt all that...but ive done a project bike i bought and about 5 others for friends.

piece of cake.

step one, clean carbs
step two, replace oem fuel valve and make sure its off when riding
step three, ride like stolen

and if the start gears break its an excellent opportunity to really get to know your bike
