I guess we're all busy with the holidays. I had a bad experiencing with Walmart this weekend. I ordered a Easy bake oven for my granddaughter a few weeks back. I got an email from them saying that the item came in and I could pick it up at the store. So Saturday I venture down there and of course the place was a zoo. I waited in line for over an hour before I finally got help on. After another 20 minutes they come back and say they can't find it and would take my phone number and call be when they had. I never heard from them so I went in this morning and waited another 40 minutes. When my turn came the gal says that they refunded my money as they didn't have the item. I got no notification from Paypal or walmart and to say the least I was pissed. I asked for some kind of proof that they had indeed gave me a refund and the gal said she didn't know how to do that so she calls a manager. So now the manager is trying to figure it out and leaves for some reason. While I was waiting I downloaded the Paypal app on my phone and found that it had indeed been refunded. I got up and drove across the  street and bought one from ToysRus. Sometimes it just not worth trying to save a few bucks.

Dave I'm with you on that. Brenda does that Black Friday stuff every year, now she starts right after thanksgiving dinner  uglystupid2. This year she got some slip or something for a TV because they ran out. So anyway she supposed to call everyday to see if they get them in and this goes on for a week or so. Finally they get some in and she asks me to go there before I go to work, I get there at 5:30 and there are already three people standing at the door waiting for them to open and of course they are all there for a TV. We finally get back to the electronics dept. and there is nobody around. One guy asks the janitor lady for help and of course she has no clue. Finally the dept manager comes out and we tell her what we are there for and she says they don't have any on sale for that price, I start laughing at her and she gets pissed and says she will go look it up. 30 minutes later she comes out with 2 and there are 4 of us. I finally get the damn TV after being an hour late for work and realizing how much I dislike Walmart. Probably could have gotten the damn thing for $50 more but a lot less hassle and time.

I agree. It is the way to go. I wonder about the long term effect on retail workers though.

I definitely do some online ordering myself due to my somewhat remote location.

Although I've not personally had any issues at my place, the news has been recently showing video's of folks out there that follow the common carriers and then snatch up the deliveries shortly after... coolsmiley  Undecided

I've actually had things sit on my porch at my place for days. It is a pretty decent neighborhood but I still consider myself lucky having grown up in So Cal where securing/locking things up was routine.

You guys will all just have to let me know when you ship me all my Christmas stuff so I'll be on the lookout for it...  cooldude
